When it rains.....

It pours..............Literally. I had the day from hell yesterday. I was so happy for the g2g. I woke up around 10, decided to throw a load of laundry in the washer and start cleaning up the house a bit. I had my 2 year old cousin with me, and I had to drive to brooklyn to drop off my cousins wedding shower gift, and put the clothes in the dryer when i got back. So I comed home and my ENTIRE BEDROOM and laundry room were flooded. The drain cord for the washer somehow got out, and the water from the washer was just draining onto the floor then seeping into my bedroom. AHHHHHHHHHH. and to make matters worse, I had placed my laptop on the floor next to my bed the night before, so I found it sitting in like an inch of water. so needless to say, my laptop was fried, and I had to go to bestbuy early this morning and buy a new one, cause I have a 15 page paper due tomorrow, and I haven't even started it yet. So there goes another $1,100 that was so not in my budget. Hope everyone had a nice time at the G2G, wish I could have come.

I know the feeling - that happened to us about a month ago and it was total craziness.

do you have any type of insurance?? b/c they should be the ones to pay for the laptop and anything else that was damaged... they should also fix the washing machine for you.

dont throw anything out - i hope you tooks pics too.

Unfortunately, I rent from my mom, so I am screwed. Thx for the advice. I am definetely going to buy renters insurance now.

Does your mom have homeowner's insurance? Cause I'd imagine it should still be covered.

I think you jinxed me. I just realized our ac has been quietly leaking and had destroyed tons of stuff in our bedroom.
Its completely gross! Ugh

D amn that s ucks...that happened to me...broke the screen on my laptop during finals and had to go to PC Richards to purchase a new one...I feel your pain.
