I've had this discussion a lot lately b/c i know so many pregnant women. I have always wanted to be surprised. My mom was surprised with me and I always thought it was fun to be surprised, with at least the first child anyway.

I haven't had this discussion with FH though, so I don't know how he feels on the issue. I should probably ask one of these days! not that we're having a baby yet!

we have decided we will find out the sex when i dio get pregnant, we also decided that we well tell our family the sex of the child, but wont tell them the child name until the baby is born

i want it to be a suprise.. FH refuses.. if he could find out the second the baby was concieved, he would... but i'm baking the bun.. so i told him its all about what i want..

No we both want it to be a surprise... no real reasoning behind it.... just b/c we like the surprise aspect.

It may also have a little to do with superstition... like I will not be having a babyshower b/c our families feel it is bad luck....

I kind of want to and then not LOL... I want to because it makes it easier to prepare and your baby shower will be cuter becuase people can personalize gifts for a boy or a girl...

and I don't wan tto find out becuase I think the suspense of when the baby comes out and the doctor says its a...... all of that build up is amazing!!!

definitely will, its a great surprise no matter when you find out but if you know ahead of time you can do the nursery and get stuff you want for a boy or a girl, not just neutral colors for example
