Do they typically send checks then or after you get married? Just curious?

So far, we've gotten 4 checks and 1 gift. But most of the 'no' responses have so far come back empty.

I am not expecting anything...haven't sent out invites, but I know for the shower, so far only one person who RSVP-ed no has called my mother to say she was going to bring a gift by in the next week (which was about 3 weeks ago, and has not brought anything yet!). Etiquette or not, people really just don't care unfortunately.
