we are doing it last minute like pretty much two to three months in advance. I am not too worried since our wedding is in march that too many people are going to book stuff in that week span we can take off. We are only doing a monday or tuesday till saturday thing. Then later on we will do a big trip probably on our year ann since we both can't take more then a week off next year.

I am starting to look into them now..figuring that I could get it cheaper a year before, versus the year of....airfare is usually cheaper way ahead of time.

it depends if the time you are going is a popular travel time we are going presidents week in february and it is the most popular weeks so we booked pretty early

As a TA I can tell you it is best to book ASAP. The more seats fill up the more the price goes up so you want to jump on it. If you are going in July 08 I wouldn't wait past September.
A good travel agent will not charge you a fee for anything more then an airline ticket. Also ask about price matching because most of us do it.

if you know i would say it wouldn't hurt to book it..you can save a lot of money that way..we may book ours soon because were like 98% sure of the place!

Not sure FH is booking ours: Current ideal HM:
Fly to Italy spend 4nights/3days in Venice, then take a 4 night cruise from Barcelona which basically docks in Ibizia, then from there spend a few days in Paris & a day or 2 in the Netherlands...
I want to travel on the Eurorail, Italy to Spain, then Spain to Paris & Paris to Amsterdam, it's difficult to reserve a sleeper cart in a few countries, & I just suggested this a few days ago, FH was going to call the travel agent get more info on it, and to see if it's even affordable...
We went to a wedding for a couple who met, married & went on their HM (they went to Sandals St. Lucia) all in a 6 month time frame, in Jan, they will be married 2 years... Anthing is possible

I haven't booked yet, FH's mom just told me the other day she spoke to her travel agent for us about the honeymoon and he said to go see him. But i am gonna wait until October to book it, I would like to do it a little sooner than that but i have my reasons lol, im guessing 7 months ahead of time should be ok, at least i hope so lol
