book the honeymoon.....it looks many people are and I am starting to freak.

i dont think you have to worry. You can book it whenever. i know its not just any vacation but i think you can book it anytime. dont worry, you're not far behind!

The only reason I booked our honeymoon is because the longer I wait the more money it would be. I booked it because it was cheaper to do it then. If I waited the price would go up almost $3,000. I was like I am not spending an extra $3,000...lol

We haven't booked our HM yet either. We'll probably book it somewhere around 6-8 months before the wedding.

I think the majority of people book with about 6 months to go, you can book it whenever.

We booked ours already just because when you go through a travel agent liek we did, if there is ever a better price being offered, the travel agent can adjust your package. So we figured if we booked early we would have the best shot at getting the lowest possible price.

oh see I didn't know that.....so I guess we will wait for the summer!!!
At least that gives us some extra time to think about where we want to go

I'm pretty sure you cant book flights untill 365 days out. so don't worry.

I was just going to say this...we thought we had given the airlines enough time when we went to book our HM in January, but we ended up booking the HM with Sandals and then our TA called us a few weeks later with our airline info. Probably the earliest I would suggest for you, is the fall.

FH and I travel all the time... we take several big trips a year (here and abroad) and usually book, oh, 4 or 5 weeks in advance.

For our honeymoon I'm sure we'll do it 3 months in advance to make sure there are rooms left in the hotels we choose, but even though it's called a 'honeymoon' it's just flights and hotels, and with the internet now you can get good deals just about any time up until 2 weeks before.

Like I said, I travel a lot, and do a lot of reading, and the cheapest a flight sells for is 6 - 12 weeks before the flight. Earlier than that, they often jack it up to see what people are willing to pay (TAs get around that, though, admittedly), and sooner than that they know they have you in a bind because you need to get where you're going, so they charge more.
