when should

I order the BM dresses (six) for an April 07 wedding? I was thinking end of Sept but one of my BMs complained that it was too early and she wanted to loose wieght B4 ordering the dress.

talk to the salon and see how long they think it will take for the dresses tocome in once you order them. i am odering mine like 6-7 months...that way they have time to get alterations and find matching shoes....

im also an april bride and im ordering in sept.
but def talk to the salon

I am a May bride and we are going for the first time to look first weekend in August. If we find the one, we are ordering it that day. Might as well get it out of the way and one less thing to worry about.

It also depends on the Designer you are looking at, some can take longer then a wedding dress to come in

I am in the middle of May and ordering my dresses at the end of August. Even if she loses weight, she can wait to get the alterations done. I would do it when you want so you don't have to worry about cutting it too close.

We ordered them the end of June for my June wedding next year. I just want to make sure there's enough time to correct anything if they come in wrong.

I don't know...take it from me... the perpetual 'pleasantly plump' one who is seemingly always on a diet.... i say order the dresses when you're ready. most people don't lose or gain more than a size.... it will be her responsibility to get it altered if necessary, but don't make yourself crazy. it's better to order bigger than smaller....

any suggestions on how to say this? I know it might seem weird that I am worried about it, but it came up before and she was pushing waiting til November....blah.
I really feel like Nov is gunna stress me out! Maybe I should just say that and stick to my guns...but Im not a good 'guns sticker'..

I would order then in Sept when you planned to... like others said.. she has 2 months to lose more weight & whatever more she loses the dress can be taken in. It is your decision when to order the gowns.. not hers!!

My wedding in the end of June next yr & i'm planning on ordering the bridesmaids dresses in August/September--I need to know my color before I can do anything else!

my friend is getting married next month and we ordered the dresses in may(but her wedding is being planned in 4months time)i say october is good...but check with your salon about how long youll need, and tell the BP now, that the dresses are being ordered around sept-oct time,,,i mean if you order in october and it takes 3-4 months thats more time for them to lose weight before the next fitting
