I want to know when I should actually start trying out wedding gowns. Can this be done as soon as the place is booked? or should the bride buy it a few months before the wedding? how does this work?
I need a WEDDINGS FOR DUMMIES type of manual...do they have those? lol

Re: When should a bride buy her wedding gown?
I'd say by the 'one year before' mark

I ordered mines in September and it took four months to come in. When you take in the time it will take to look for the dress, and then the amount of time the order takes to come in, plus alterations I think you can wait to you year mark.

Its recommended to order it at least 9 months before hand. It can take even longer to come in depending on the dress and factor in the alterations. I have to start trying on diff styles soon myself and then place that order soon.

I got mine 2 weeks ago which is about 1 year before the wedding date.
Mine will be costume made and will be ready around February.
