Have my first fitting? My wedding is in June and Paradisde Bridal told me that they do not normally schedule first fittings until May. This seems a bit late to me, am I wrong? I have noticed that some July brides have already had their first fitting.

Re: When should I
I don't think that's late; however, it does depend on how much work needs to be done on the dress. I went for a try on of my gown and the seamstress told me that I can begin my fittings only one month before because I don't need a lot of work done. If you don't need much work done one month should probably be fine. HTH!

Re: When should I
I'm not sure when they are typically done, but my first fitting is April 9th if that helps, and I thought it was a little bit early.

Re: When should I
My place recommends no earlier than 6 weeks before the wedding. They said that +/- 2-3 lbs can make a world of difference in how the dress fits so you don't want to do it to early.

Re: When should I
I think I have 3 fittings....one 2 months before, one 1 month before, and one the day before the wedding (just to make sure) :)

I'm wondering the same. I ordered my dress 2 weeks ago and have been having nightmares about it. I orginally tried on my dress elsewhere and they told me I would need a HTH. Paradise offered the cheapest price so I went there and they said that this dress doesnt have the HTH option and ordered it 3 inches shorter. Im nervous I'm still gonna need heming and it's gonna ruin the dress!

Re: When should I
I think they did the same thing for mine ( It was a petite cut or something.) It came back still long so I still have to get it hemmed a little. I heard sos so reviews on them and I cant make a decision if I should just keep it there or bring it somewhere privately. I dont know what would be the benefits of keep itthere though....

I dont know if they did that so we would have to pay more on alterations. Thats what I'm starting to think and its making me really mad! I'm not gonna keep it there, I'm just gonna bring it to a lady my friends used. It will prob be cheaper anyway.
How tall are you? She told me the dresses are made for 5'6 girls and they ordered it 3in shorter for me and it I'm wearing 3in heels it would be perfect. IDK if she was telling the truth.

Re: When should I
I was thinking about 6 weeks as well. My dress doesn't need a lot of work. Besides, I need the time to be able to fit in it!
