My wedding is Nov 24th, and im almost done with my DIY invites, What a time consuming project!!!
I was thinking of sending them out a little early due to the fact that I have half of these people coming from Florida and NJ. They have to get airline tix, hotel accom, etc...
When do you think good timing would be?? Keep in mind my RSVP date is going to be Oct 15th cause i still have a lot of diy things to do such as the votive placecards and stuff

My personal opinion is end of August...you want those people to get the best deal possible & travel at any time after October is NOT CHEAP!!!!

Mine is November 30 and like you we have a decent amount of people comming from out of town. I was going to send the people who are out of town their invites in the beginning of September and then the non out of towners like the 2nd week.

You can send Save the dates out earlier which can include flight and hotel info so they can book as early as possible.

i did the month to month rule....sent out my invites so they'd reach guests a month before the rsvp date. I'd definetly send them out by sept. 1st if they're going all the way to FL. good luck!

i would send it right after the labor day holiday since thats thanksgiving weekend. and airfare for that time of year is ridiculous.

I would send them out September 1st so that your guest have over a month to respond. I think it is too late to send STD's but you could make a website on liweddings and put the hotel info on the website so people have a little more notice to book their hotels. Then email the website to people you know will spread the word.
