My wedding is September 30 and I am coming home September 25th or 26th. I live in Wisconsin.
Also, any recommendations for bring the dress on a plane?
TIA

Re: When should I have my first fitting?
It depends on the seamstress. Mine told me not to come in until about 5 weeks before, but some need more time than that.
I would call the seamstress you'll be using and let her know what you need to have done (hem, take in, bustle, etc.). She will be able to tell you when to come in.

Re: When should I have my first fitting?
see what the seamstresses think....and then try it on before going...see how loose it is and then guage from there based on what they might say over the phone. i didn't need alterations when i bought my dress, but i lost weight and luckilly i bothered to try it on at home....cause i had 2 months to go when i did!

Re: When should I have my first fitting?
Hi date twin! My first fitting is Aug 10th...the salon said about 2 months before - and I wanted to push it as late as possible - trying to lose weight...hope this helps.
