When should I send out my invitations?

For my 'destination' wedding- we sent out STD's but should we send out our invites earlier???

Our Wedding is Feb 17th...

I would do it right after the summer, I think that's enough time for people to make plans to get there

Yep. I would do it end of Aug beginning of Sept.

Hi Callan... my date twin! I would send a save the date letter to your guests.... going to Ireland will be a big expense and the earlier they book, the better deal they will get. i would include the date, location of the wedding... airline phone numbers/websites and hotel information.... aer lingus offers a group deal if you get enoug people gettig on the same flight. check out their website www.aerlingus.com. i would also include information about car rentals as most people will need to rent a car. when i am in ireland i like dan dooley rent-a-car. www.dan-dooley.ie

i will be doing a similar letter that i am going to send out to my irish guests coming here for my wedding by the middle to end of the summer... if not before!!!

Everyone will get the invitation in the middle of December... want to beat the holiday mail rush and give people ample time to plan!!!

Thanks for the responses-- but we actually did a website and all that good stuff- I send out emails to everyone with all the deals!!

I actually have about 12 people who already booked their flights
