When should I send out save the date cards?
I'm getting married on July 4,2003, when should I send out my save the date cards? It's on a holiday weekend and a lot of our guests are coming from out of town. Thanks!

When should I send out save the date cards?
I would send them out soon. I sent mine out for my 9/15/01 wedding in April or May last year. I had two cousins getting married that summer and since I was last I wanted to remind everyone. I think it's a great idea considering your wedding is on a holiday.

I think you should be gine with 9 months...not sure I would go before a year...it might get confusing... or you could send them out right after and say hope you haad a good 4th of July. Next year will be even better. Save the Date for X and Y's wedding July 4 2003

Question
Sorry to cut in here but my wedding will be on May 16,2004. It's not a holiday weekend or anything and about 8 people are coming from out of town. Do I need to send Save the Date cards? BTW, I think Yabbobay's idea is great!!

Oops
Sorry I thought it was this year July 4th weekend. Yes, next year several months before. But like Yabbobay said not too long before - then people just forget.

When should I send out save the date cards?
I am getting married this July 4th. I sent out mine in Feb. to all my guests and figuring that May I am going to be sending the formal invitation and they would be reminded of the wedding date. I think if you send them out too soon, they won't remember the date. Good LuckWelcome New Vendors
