When should I send out the invites????

Hi ladies, question???? My invites are all set and ready to go but just wondering when exactly I should send them.

Wedding date: March 1st, 2003..
RSVP date: January 25th, 2003

I was thinking of having them go out on the 15th of December to avoid somewhat of the holiday cards. Is this too early? I figure the next week will be Christmas and the week after may be a little late.
What are your opinions???

my opinion is that its never too early to send them out!! mine went out 9 weeks before the wedding. just be warned that no matter when you send them out, there will always be people who either wait until the last minute to respond, or who won't respond at all!!
