As soon as you want - it's NEVER too early to shop!
Personally, I would focus on your dress before the BM dresses - they don't take as long to make and you might want to play off the style of your dress when picking theirs. JMO.
PS - I'm 9/3/04 - Welcome to the boards!! If you're interested there's a 2004 board...there are a few of us getting married that weekend - you can toss ideas around with girls who are at the same planning stage as you.

It is never to early. I am getting married 9/18/04 and I ordered my gown and my BMs ordered their gowns in April.
