We went towards the end of July, and our wedding is this October. The tux store only needs a little bit of time to do the tuxes, plus if you give men too much time to take care of something, they usually forget.....

we went 2 weeks ago, so about the 3 1/2 month mark...

Anything from 1-3 month before the big day is fine for the big guys. The deadline for rental measurement is usually 2 weeks before the wedding day.
For my ringbearer, they told him to come back 1 month before 'cus he may grow :P

we went a month or 2 ago, but they told us the guys don't need to be measured until about 6-8 weeks before. so we just decided what we wanted for FH and the GM and then the guys will go get fitted soon
