So i am gettin married in October of 09 my mom says its to early to look now.. What do you guys think? How much time should u allow yourself to find a dress n get alterations!?
they say 9-12 months before the wedding. i ordered mine 15 months before...and stopped looking at any other dresses, whether in magazines, online, or on liw threads
I already got my dress. I am getting married after you! I think whenever you are ready to start looking you should! Its so fun!
My wedding is next July and I started looking a little less than a year before... which was a few weeks ago.... I plan to go back and order my dress within the next month.... Its never too early to look . Its good to see what is out there and what styles you like. HTH
I got my dress about 11 months before the wedding. Some dresses, if being made by hand, may take many months to arrive, so you probably want to order a dress at least 6-8 months in advance, especially if you are looking for something with beading or anything. You should maybe start looking at magazines now, and even feel free to go to a salon to try stuff on (you may happen to find something great!). But if you don't find anything until December, don't stress, because you should be able to order something by the end of the year without any worries.
I'm getting married in October also, I already bought my dress but I'll get measured in October. They told me I should do it that way to ensure that its in by August for fittings.
u can always go look... doesn't mean you have to order it now.
I am getting married in 11 months and they told me at least 7-9 months before it will come in.

my wedding is in july, they are putting the order through at the end of sept....
I was originally going to start looking in Sept but I went last week and ordered it.... I figured get it out of the way before I have to go back to work...ugh....back to work!
