When to book a block of rooms

I am getting married the end of march...i dont have THAT many out of towners...when should i do this?

I booked already and I am getting married at the end of April. I would block rooms soon.

I would start looking as soon as possible. The longer you wait, the higher the rates get.

i would do it soon, a couple of girls here already tried certain hotels and they were already booked, remember hotels by RH's book quickly. Some of these girls were trying to book for the summer

I booked over a year in advance then changed hotel because a new one opened up. I would look into it now DEFF. since it is getting to five months away.

hotels usually allow you to block a year ahead. I did mine in May for the April wedding. I would do it now

MOST places you dont put money down to reserve rooms, there are a few where you have to but knowing that most dont have this policy i wouldnt even book with them. You just tell them how many rooms to block and whatever doesnt get booked a month prior to your wedding gettings released

No payment - I wouldn't pay if they made you choose another hotel. Typically it is a 10 room min and unless your on a popular weekend I would just reserve that much unnless you have 50 OOT guests then yea add some more. Not every OOT guest is going to show so I like to do the min since you can always add as need be.

Also ask what is included - ex. breakfast, paper, shuttle buses, special things, etc.
