My seamstress just told me I don't bustle till after the first dance? Then do I just hold up the train while I dance? How does that work?

Re: When to Bustle
I was just thinking about this issue the other day. I think I am going to leave it unbuslted during the CH and then bustle before I go into the reception.

Re: When to Bustle
I'm going to bustle it before CH and let it down for first dance, so no one steps on the train during CH.

Re: When to Bustle
I bustled before the reception. I had a very complicated bustle, so I kind of had to otherwise I would have missed about 10 minutes of my reception.

OK, I have a dumb question then - how do you dance with the train, even if its a small train, are you holding it up?

Usually they sew a loop of material into the train so you can wear it around your wrist, or hold it.

I plan on doing this to. Especially since I'm taking pics during the CH.

Right after the CH. The dress was too costly to risk people stepping on it.

I am going to do the bustle after first dance. Let everyone see the train. The train has a loop on the inside that you just slip on your wrist for the first dance.

bustling after the ceremony. Not taking it down for the first dance. my train os pretty plain and everyone will see it at the ceremony so why have it down for the first dance.

Re: When to Bustle
Bustled after the first dance....I held my train with the loop--not a problem at all. I was going to do it before b ut my Maitre'd/Bridal attendant said after first dance is what is normally done---worked great!
