When to buy the wedding dress

How many months before the wedding should you buy your wedding dress? I want to buy it a year in advance but I'm afraid of it yellowing :(...any advice?

I just said yes to the dress sat! They day min 8 months. Depending where u r they may hold it, I.ordered from Kleinfelds, they aren't going to have it sent to them till jan 2015.

i ordered my dress like 13 months out and the dress came in maybe 8 months later.. it was stored at the dress place. they have special storing facilities to protect it from yellowing

I got mine over a year and half away from my wedding date. I went to Bay Shore Bridal and they store it properly for you for free to ensure it does't yellow. I suggest starting there.

I ordered mine about two years before the wedding. I won't see it again until my fitting three months before.

Most bridal boutiques hold the dress for you. I ordered mine 9 months out but I think a year is a good time.

I bought mine in the beginning of January and I'm not supposed to receive it until August. I'm getting married November 1. Make sure you order far enough in advance so you don't have to be limited in your selection or pay rush fees. It takes a lot of time for the dresses to be ordered and then you need alterations. It won't yellow.

When to buy the wedding dress

I bought my dress at vows last August and I'm mot getting married until October. It's been sitting in the closet in my old bedroom at my moms and it's fine. They said at vows to keep both bags it's in unzipped about 3 inches so it won't yellow.

I can't wait to go dress shopping! My older sister is going to be visiting from L.A. next month the only time before my wedding day.She wanted to go dress shopping with me I thought it might be too early but it's great to hear that it's not. Thanks everyone.

I bought mine in November. Since it was a sample, the salon is storing it for me to prevent it from yellowing.

I believe that if you buy your dress from pretty much anywhere but David's Bridal, they will store it for you. They don't store them because they're such a large chain and I guess would have thousands and thousands of dresses stored for brides.
