I wouldnt wait if you are taking her out and about already. They take some really cute pics when they are tiny. Anne Geddes type of pics.

My mom always tells me to do 3mo, 6mo, 9mo, and 1 year because they change so much during their first year.

Since my baby will be born around the holidays I plan on getting his/her photos done in the Christmas outfit, which he/she will be less than a month old. but i have to have first christmas shots, then the next will probably be Easter.
You can never have enough photos

Heather, a very good friend of mine did that too. I wish I had thought of it b/c the pics are beautiful. They lose that really 'new' look so fast!

My cousin had a baby Oct 4 an 2 weeks later had halloween pics taken of the baby

I don't know if you can go by me, b/c I am picture crackhead, I took her pictures at sears every 30th of the month for her first year, every month. I know I had a difficult time in february!

Pictures last a lifetime, you can never take too many pictures!!!

If I hear my husband say again more pictures........I'll scream. I am a picture nut and he can't understand why I am taking so many. At three months Tommy already has three albums filled. One of my greatest shower gifts was a photo frame with a space for each month up till his first birthday. It is great to see how he is changing. We had out first professional pictures taken at 6 weeks and again at 12.

We had his first official picture taken with Award studios, and got a free 5x7 of him at 5 weeks old. We then purchased a cluster wall portrait, and they came back for a re-sit. He was about ten weeks old, and it came out great! He was able to hold his head up and everything. The same week we took him for studio pictures at Olan Mills studios, (there's one located in KMart, off of the LIE exit 63N). He had a blast with the woman there and his pics came out awesome. I wanted to send the photo cards as announcements of his arrival, even though he was almost two months old when we got them! Everyone loved them though- and the studios prices were really great.

We took photos @ Sears when Patrick was 3 months, 6months,9 months & 1 year. Also one for Christmas!

Aside from Christmas pics, did you take pics with you and DH and baby in some of those first pictures? I'm just wondering if I should schedule an appt when PEter is home from work, or if I should take Lyla's first pics by herself.

I did w/ Patrick alone. but you can do both. I wish I had a really nice proffesional photo of the 3 of us.
