When is a good time to order BM dresses. My girls all live out of state, so a few of them will be home this summer, and probably won't be back home timme xmas time- and I'm afraid that will be too late. Is a year in advance too early to order dresses?
I'm just afraid of measurements changing, and what not.
I just want to make sure all the girls order at the same time because of the dye lot.
If my wedding is in June, is this summer too early, and is xmas time too late?

I would at least start looking unless youre set with what you want. Depending on the dress and company they can take a few weeks to a few months to come in. I wouldnt order any later than the fall 'just incase' if that makes sense.

I'm getting married in November, 2 of my girls are out of state... The dresses I selected are all from David's Bridal so I called them to ask when's a good time... they said 3 months before to order them would be fine... So just to be on the safe side, I'm doing it 4 months.. beginning of July.
Also they said that my girls can go to the David's near them - order and do the fittings etc - and then the stores will inter-transfer the dresses so that they don't have to travel with them.

My wedding is the end of november and my girls are ordering their dresses starting this weekend. Some of them have to wait a little for fincial reasons but everyone should have them ordered by the end of May.

My girls just got measured this weekend. Im waiting for the last few to go this weekend. The place i went to said they can order them once all the girls were measured. She said it can take up to 4 months for the dresses to arrive. Were getting married in Nov.
I would just give yourself that 6 to 8 month window to be safe.

I guess when they are home this summer I can start having them try on the dresses i liked, and then if i pick one, I can wait till Nov/Dec to order it.

i think a year in advance is a little too early, youll be fine if they order around xmas, my girls ordered their 7 months before my date, and even thats pretty early

over the summer im going to have them try on the dresses and then order it in abt december or January. A lot of my girls fluctuate A LOT and i dont want them to have to do serious alterations to the dresses I chose...
