When to get last fitting?
Hi Ladies, Just wanted to know when I should get my last fitting/alterations? 2 weeks before or 1 week before. I'm afraid that if it's too close to the wedding the seamstress will be rushed doing the job. But I'm nervous if it's too far away from the wedding, then I might lose more weight secondary to stress. What are you guys doing? Thanks for your help!

When to get last fitting?
Tracy - I had my final fitting last night - and I am getting married in 10 days...I am picking up the dress next Friday, and if I would like to try it on I can - they can do last minute alterations in minutes, as long as it is nothing major - my sister had a 'pick-up' fitting last week and they fixed the top of her dress in literally 10 minutes and had it pressed and ready to go..I wouldn't do it too much sooner or too much later than that.

When to get last fitting?
I had my final try-on April 11, for my wedding this weekend. The first fitting was for all the major changes, the second was to check the fit and we had to slightly adjust the hem - that was all that was needed - the alterations to the bodice were perfect - and I had lost 30 lbs. between my measuring and my first fitting. The final try on was perfect - no alterations needed so I left it for them to press, and picked it up yesterday.

Just please make sure your bustle hooks are very, very sturdy. My future sister-in-law just got married and her bustle hooks and buttons for the bustle were not strong enough. (the hooks broke and the buttons fell off) We spent ALOT of time in the Bridal Suite pinning it up with safety pins. I would hate for anyone to miss out on precious time at the reception. Someone else posted that her daughters whole train fell off. Better to be safe than sorry. Hope this helps. :) And enjoy your WEDDING!Welcome New Vendors
