when to go for first fitting??

Hello Ladies -

I ordered my wedding gown a few weeks ago. They told me it would take 3-4 months to get in...but I just got notified that my dress is in!!!
My question is, when should I go for my first fitting then? My wedding is in February...and I would like to lose a few more lbs before then....Advice please....

Since it's already there at the shop...I would give it to the time that they said it was supposed to be here... then you'll be the few lbs down and they can just take it in one two three and you'll be all set. :)

I would save Sept/Oct if you want to play it safe

I am also in february and my dress came in about 2 months ago...i went in and tried it on to make sure everything is ok and there are no rips or stains or mistakes with the dress and paid the balance but the salon told me my first fitting should be in October.

Some places say 8-6 weeks before the wedding.

I am getting married the day after you and my dress comes in in early November. The store said I should do my first fitting in mid to late November, and then nothing until late December or even early January.
