I'm getting married october 10th and I have 2 dates that we could have the bachlorette party. Auguest 28th or October 2nd. The reason for the large gap in dates is one BM is going on vacation for 2 weeks in September and then we have the Jewish holidays.
I feel like august 28th is too soon, but Oct 2nd is too late (and it's my bday).
When would you like to have yours?

Re: When to have...
I'm partial to October so I would go for the 2nd. If it's your birthday as well then it will be doubly special. I'd vote for October. August might be too hot if you end up doing something outdoors.

Re: When to have...
I think the August date is better only b/c you don't know what will come up one week before the wedding. You wouldn't want to stress or even miss out on your party.
You could always go out that night also for drinks or something a little more low-key for your b-day

I agree with August! My bach. party is 8/14 and I'm getting married 2 weeks before you. I don't think it's too early!

Re: When to have...
I am getting married the day before you. I was thinking labor day weekend for my Bach party, so Aug 18th doesn't seem that early.
I also considered the 2nd, b/c my MOH may be here by then, but It seesm liek it may be too stressful.
My HS reunion is that day & people are telling me it will be too crazy to go a week before my wedding, I'm not sure exactly what will be going on then though.

Re: When to have...
Thanks ladies. I also have to consider when the shower will be. I have a feeling it's the 21st, but not 100% sure. I need to talk to my sister, (MOH) to find out which would be best for her. I also don't want to put a financial burden on her either...

I'm not sure how religous you are but what about the Saturday after Rosh Hashanah, Sept. 18.
