Hello all! I got engaged November 2006 we are getting married February 2008...when do we have the Engagement Party? I was thinking February or March of 2007? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

It's really up to you, some girls are even waiting until the spring to have their e-parties, I don't know if there is a right or wrong answer here

They say to do it between 2-4 months after your engagement. I am having it after that time period though. I was gonna do nov or dec but then I decided not to because I didn't want to do it right before the holidays since people are saving for christmas. So we decided to do it in Feb, since that is our anniversary plus both of our birthdays are in feb.

I think it's totally up to you and your FH as to when to have the e-party. I know a couple who had their e-party 8 months after they got engaged.
FH and I got engaged in the beginning of October and we're having it the first weekend in March because we didn't want to interfere with the holidays.

Yeah plus you have plenty of time, so the whole time line thing shouldn't matter. The time line thing is basically for those who are getting married within a year after getting engaged. Because obviously you wouldn't have an e-party a few months before your wedding. We're having it about 6 months after our engagement, but it's still 15 months away from our wedding so it's fine.

we got engaged in october, and since we live 400 miles from my parents, it will not be until the spring and warmer weather.

we got engaged in september of this year and just had out engagement party last weekend. his mom lives in florida and we thought thanksgiving weekend would be great since she was going to be here anyways for thanksgiving. it's really about when's the best time for you and your fiance.

That's a good question. . . I had my party about 2 months after I got engaged. I felt the need to celebrate right away!!!

i think its totally up to u b/c i had my engagement party 2 months after i got engaged but then i know some girls are having their engagement party a year b4 the wedding. theres really no perfect time u have to have the e-party

We got engaged in April and had our party in july. They say usally 3-4 months after you get engaged to do it. But really it's up to you and when you guys are ready.

Yeah I'm the slacker of the group...I got engaged in Sept and our Eparty is in February...we're getting married in April 08 so...I personally don't think there are really any rules...you want to space it out a bit but enjoy it....its whatever works for u two
