I would wait to send it to NY because it is far in advance. But I def. understand giving it to people ot of country because they have to make arrangements and take time off of work!

you can send he england inviutes earlier than NY. Im mailing mine 3 months before wedding.

I would wait on the US invites and give the UK invites early.

I just mailed invites to Scotland and it was less than a dollar per invite, so if you want to mail them it's afordable. People might like to see the USA postage and when things come from far away them seem more important, just my opinion.

You can really do whatever you want but what we did was send save the dates with all the hotel information to them months ago and we sent the actual invites at the same time as the domestic ones.

and the reason I was worried about postage is because our wedding invitation is printed on a towel, so I assumed it would be more than paper.

on a towel? that sounds so interesting and fun do you have a pic?

why dont you send save the dates out to everyone now. and wait until 2 months before to send invites.. you can include hotel info with the std

You can get simple save the dates from vistaprint and have them by next week...This way your UK guests can get the idea to book flights or contact you about hotel block/flights....
