When to order/send out invitations:

The company that I am using www.reavesengraving.com will send me a proof 5 days after they receive my order, then send me the actual invitations 2-3 weeks later! That's quick!

My date is May 28th... so I was thinking to send them out March 20 or so, what do you think? What date should I put to respond by, 1 month before the wedding?

I ordered my invite today. I should get my invitations in 3 weeks. I'm addressing my own invites so hopefully I'll send them out at the end of February. This way my OOT's have enough time to make flight reservations. My rsvp date is 5/1

sounds like you're fine, but as foofy poitned out, if you have a lot of OOT guests, it might be better to send it out earlier, especially since you're getting married on a holiday weekend

I have an appointment to go next week and pick them out I am expecting to have them out by the first week of March.... I will probably have the rsvp for mid april....

I'm sending mine out sometime during the last week or two of March w/ an RSVP date of 1 month prior. I sent out STD's so everyone already knows about the wedding.

I am sending them early b/c of the OOt guests. Sending them out the firt week in March for an April 10th RSVP. It will give me some time to call the no responders.

I'm sending mine out the third week in February - with an RSVP date of April 7th.

Gives me enough time to mail to the B-list if necessary....and to call the non-responders.

I'm sending ours out mid-February because we have a lot of OOT guests. I have the invitations already...just need to stuff em' and send them out!

Technically, you are not supposed to send them any earlier than 8 weeks before the wedding. Proper etiquette says 6-8 weeks before. We just approved our proof on Tuesday so we will probably have our invitations in a few weeks, but we will not mail them until March 19 (8wks b4) and then the responses are due by April 19 (4wks b4)
