When to register??

I'm getting Married May 07 and we are not having an engegment party when should we register??

I was thinking the same thing. People keep asking when we are going to register, and I have no idea. I mean, I guess we can start whenever we want, I just feel like there is so much time.

I'm getting married in May 07 also and didn't have an e-party. I think I am going to wait until late fall (as late as we can) because many pieces become discontinued in a year's time and I also tend to change my mind too. I figured late fall bc some people will want to get us items off our registry for Christmas and I am assuming my shower will be around Feb or March.

Since you're not having an engagement party and getting married in spring,
I would sugest November, early December 06. That way family memberes may possibly get you things off your registry for the holidays.

I would wait until a month or two before the event. Sometimes they stop selling things and there is less of a chance of that happening if you register closer to the date.

I didn't have an engagement party either and I'm a July bride so I think I'll register around Christmas time because i'm assuming my shower will most likely be in April or early May

I registered already - but just for appliances and kitchen stuff - things that wont get discontinued.

I didnt register for linens or towels, because those are seasonal.

FH and I both live at home, so we have NOTHING for our house. I told everyone for my birthday and xmas to buy off my registry or get me BB&B giftcards!

I would register as soon as you can, but for things that will not be discontinued. China, appliances, etc. Save bed and bath stuff to a few months prior to your wedding. You will be surprise at how many people will send you gifts to celebrate your engagement whether or not you have an engagement party.

I registered a few weeks after we got engaged because people for FH side kept asking me where we were registered.

We started getting gifts already and our engagement party is in 3 weeks, so more will come.

I can't wait.

I am getting married Feb 07 and we registered about 2 weeks ago.....soinds alittle early I know but we also did not have an engagement party and as far as my shower I am hoping that it is in Sept/Oct (not near the holidays) so since we are registered now I will not know when my shower is unless I peek....

Our wedding is in October, but we're going to reg Oct-Nov of this year. Both FH and I live at home still and we also have NOTHING so I'm hoping people buy us stuff for Christmas and my birthday. I know that's so bad, but we're desperate!

I'm getting married next May and I have registered to 3 places already. I figured I would try to register now so that way people can get me gifts for the holidays. I have already received some gifts.
