We registered about a month after we got engaged. It was the end of January. But we also had an e-party in February, and everyone was asking.

you can do it whenever you want... somethings may get discontinued but you can always update your registry online.

we haven't registered yet...we were waiting to see if we were gonna be moving and what we would need before we did it....but now that we decided not to move we will probably register in the next few mths.

I'm having the same dilemma. Our e-party is August so everyone is asking me when I'm registering. I don't want to do it yet for 2 reasons - 1, we would rather get money for the e-party that we can use towards the wedding and 2, we don't live together yet. I don't want to register until I know exactly what I want for our living space but I feel like I should. I don't know what to do.

register whenever u want. most ppl wont buy off ur registry til a week or 2 before your shower. so even if u register, most ppl wont know u have 1. so go and have funnnnn

We started registering a month after we got engaged. We are also having an e-party and my parents friends had been asking what to get us.

I didn't register for too much yet. But enough stuff that if someone wants to buy us something they have options. There is plenty of time before my wedding/shower to add the rest of the items. Its also really overwhelming to register and takes a long time (at least for me) to decide what you both like and want to have in your house/apt.

you can go whenever you want....just remember that as the seasons pass new patterns come out and things get discontinued.

I have no patience so I registered a few months after we got engaged! Everyone was asking us where we were registered.

We registered about 2 months after we got engaged - it's never to early, and you can always change stuff around!

Re: When to register !!!

we waited to register after our e-party because we didn't want registry gifts so far in advance (i honestly wouldn't know where i would store them, FH and I do not live together). We went in April on a weekend where FH happened to have off. So you can do it whenever you want! Some places will even let you make changes online which is nice.

I'm wondering the same thing... but, this weekend sealed the deal for me - we're doing it asap. Reason being, we're starting to get random (and I mean RANDOM) things as gifts. These people kept asking my mom where we're registered (we got engaged on 4/9!!!) and I guess they just gave up waiting. It's not that I don't appreciate the gesture, but if people are going to get us gifts I'd rather them choose from our registry, so we'll do it soon.

You can go whenever you want to; just because you register doesn't mean people have to start buying you things.

We'll probably register 13-14 months before the wedding.
