When to Register

When should you register? How far in advance from your wedding?

depends when ur shower is. some ppl register before they have an epart. not sure if youre having 1.. but oi ellhnes give $ not gifts for eparties..

u can register whenever u want,but some things might get discontinued(bedding and towels, even dishes-but not fine china)

i registered a few months ago and no1 bought anythign cuz the bridal shower invites havent been mailed yet. so the registry is just sitting there lol

im under 9 mths away and i still havent registered. I will probably register in the next few weeks or so...I just honestly haven't had any time!

I don't really want gifts for our e-party which is in oct ..... lol we need the $

maybe I will register right after that???

BTW - do you ladies know about your shower or is it a surprise?

I dont think it matters I registered and my wedding is in April because some of my family bought me pieces of my china for my engagement.....I dont think its too early to register this way you can take your time and choose what you want at your leisure.

we registered one year in advance simply because we had the time. we went during last spring break because i was still in school & so was FH & we both had a day off.

We're almost 10 months from our wedding and haven't done it yet. We'd like one of the registries to be Crate & Barrel, and from what I've heard, it's best to wait with that particular store because a lot of things are seasonal or get discontinued. So for that one, we'll definitely register closer to when the shower invites go out to (hopefully) ensure that the majority of items will be available for purchase.

We both also have our own apartments, so we'll need to go through things and figure out what we're keeping and what we're chucking.

we are having an e-party-- basically just for family and bp (FH has a big family) Thus far there are 70 people on the invite list.
Family friends have asked us where we are registered so that they could buy us something we want. We were going to wait until after e-party but have now decided that whoever wants to give us money still will... whether we register or not. As a result, we are going to register WEDNESDAY for our November 2010 wedding (shower will probably be next summer--- It is a surprise though).

I didnt want to register till I was closer to my shower but my Step-Mom & FMIL are on us to do it so ppl have the option to either buy us a present or give us $. We still haven't done it but guess we should get on that ASAP since the E-Party invites are going out on Weds.!!!

the fisrt thing we did after the church was registered at BBB. my friend told me that way for birthdays, xmas instead of silly things people can get you stuff off the registry. I probably am not having an epart but I already have stuff bought. One was a bday gift and the other was just because my grandparents love me gift.
