when to send?

FINALLY ordering my invites. Okay - getting married on Nov. 9th. When do I send the STD cards w. the hotel info. I am getting the invites in around September 5th - when do I say to rsvp by? And when should I send them?

I'm getting married November 8th and sending out the invitations on the first week of September with an RSVP date of October 4th. We're not doing STD cards so I don't know about those.

Send STD cards now. You will need to send your invites out right after you get them. You should give people 4 weeks to RSVP, plus some will come late. That gives you enough time to do seating, placecards, give final count to the hall etc...

Not to scare you (and I know I am early) but I am getting married 10/13, just about a month before you and I have addressed most of my invites and plan to send them out in 3 weeks. I think the STD cards should have went out much earlier than now being that the invites will follow them very closely. Our RSVP is by 9/9 for the reason that people are often late too.

I know I am super late on these - we sort of 'stalled' for a few weeks there....

I am thinking if I get my STD's out like the end of next week is that okay? And then send the invites the day I get them? (I'll have the envelopes early so I can address them and everything....) So the invites would go out hopefully by the 6th - and you think it should be Oct. 9th for RSVP?

Ask your bridal party to help you get the invites out. It is A LOT to do in one day.

STD by the end of the week will be fine.

I agree. Ifyou didn't already buy your STD's I would just send out your invites early with the hotel info on them. My wedding is 9/28 and I sent STD's in Feb. and am mailing invites next week. Hotel info was on STD and will be in the invite. YOu probably don't need STD's now....but if you bought them already I would send them ASAP!

stacedz, I'm also Oct. 13th. I'm addressing my invites now and hope to have them out by the end of next week. I didn't do STD cards and I have out-of-town guests so I wanted to get them out earlier so they can make hotel reservations.

All out of town guests have been notified of the date and hotel info so most have already booked...but just to play it safe I'm sending my invites out earlier.

My response date is Sept. 13th...exactly 1 month before.

Sorry Jenny! I have been writing out invites for the last 2 weeks (a little every night), and I also agree, it is a lot to do in a few days. I am sending hotel info in the invites but I don't have a lot of people staying at the hotels either.

do the hotels have to be booked at a certain date? My date was 1 month in advanced and I didn't include hotel info with my STD...so I sent my invites out about 10-11 weeks before with the hotel info and the date they must be booked.

Don't panic! You will be fine, like everyone said ask your BM's to help you, you need a team effort so you can get it done quickly. I don't think you need to send std's at this point,but if you have them then send them. It may be a good idea to have a friend do those for you ASAP so you can concentrate on your invites. Your goal should be to give your guests 6 weeks to RSVP. Everything always works out, don't freak & ask for help! My date is October 20th & my invites are getting here on Monday-my RSVP date is Sept 22. Go buy your stamps & have your addresses 100% ready. Good luck
