When to send out invites

How far in advance do you send out your invitations? What is the timing you give them to RSVP?

I sent my invites out on 9/3 with a 10/1 RSVP date for my 11/2 wedding. I had already sent out STD cards back in April.

Trust me- you will need 2 extra weeks for RSVPs to come in and even then you will be making some phone calls. Give yourself enough time.

I put my rsvp date about 4 weeks (end of sept) before my wedding (end of October). I sent my invites out about 5 weeks before that (end of august).

I sent mine 8 weeks before with an rsvp of four weeks before the actual wedding. I actually have to send others out that might only go out 6 weeks before the wedding because my family keeps adding invites!!!
