When to send out STD

When you 09' Girls sending out your STD's? When is it appropriate to send them out or at least order them?

I think the rule is 9-12 months before your wedding date, depending on if its a holiday/holiday weekend and such

ETA: As for ordering them, I supposse you can do it as soon as you set a date! I think most girls wait until they have their epics taken first to put their picon it

Someone told me to send the out of towners STD's 12-10 months before...since they may have t make arrangements and reservations
We will prob do it like 10 -9 months before

well when i finally pic a place and a date, and than a photographer and then get engagement pics done, then ill make my save the date card... i intended to have them sent out right away, even tho i want my wedding in 09 but i wanted it to be a magnet, and a pic of me and fH and the date we plan to marry /formal invite to follow ...etc

but now im back to square 1 lol

i was thinking of sending them out around this christmas....but im not sure - maybe in Jan but def by Feb 1 they will be out!

we are giving ours out as part of the favors for our engagement party next month.. and sending the rest out around valentines day

we cant do that b/c we arent doing our engagement pix until this time next year =x 4 months before the wedding!

I broke the rule and already sent them out...we had so many people asking us when the BIG DAY was so I just sent out my magnets last month. They are in my album if you want to take a look!

I know all of my friends had sent them out as soon as they booked the wedding. One had sent it out three times, each time they went to the church and 'wanted' their date it wasnt available...
Don't know why they did that still but they did lol

About a year. I want to take epics next summer on the beach and then send them out right after that. I'm hoping to have everything else booked by then! ::fingers crossed::
