Re: When to start solids?
I heard to start them on vegetable first because the fruit is sweeter and they'll like that more and might not want to eat the vegetables...again...I heard I have no first hand knowledge - my BF told me that. And yes, she started her 2 babies at this time too!

Oh wow you make a good point about the vegetables! Looks like Anthony will be getting veggies next week! Thanks!

Re: When to start solids?
We just started Matthew last week on cereal and the doc said wait a week and then start veggies, and then a couple weeks later, fruit. So I would think you could start now.

Re: When to start solids?
My 4-month old, Nicholas, has been on cereal for a couple of weeks and I just started him on fruits and veggies early last week. So far we have had sweet potatoes, pears, and carrots. We just started peaches last night. So far carrots are the favorite I've been waiting 4 days to introduce a new food. After peaches its squash then banannas. Good luck to you!

Re: When to start solids?
I started both my kids with fruits and they never objected to veggies. In fact, they both loved peas, which I thought for sure would get them making a yukky face. We started cereal at 4m but I snuck some applesauce too - the cereal just seemed so blah. Fruits at 5m, added veggies at 6m.

Re: When to start solids?
Kiera is 3 1/2 months and at the doctor today they said we can start her on cereal. We have to do 3 days of rice, then oatmeal, then barley. If everything goes well we can then mix in applesauce, pears and bananas.
