I'm so excited because my sister's boyfriend asked me & FH if it would be okay if he proposed to her. Kind of like he wanted our blessing which was so sweet. He was thinking of doing it on Thanksgiving. But FH & I were talking about it and we would love for this to happen at our wedding-we're not the type of people who are worried about our thunder being stolen :)
If we do set it up to happen at the wedding, when would be a good time for it?

i definitely think the very END of the wedding would be the only appropriate time
please make sure that you make it VERY clear that you knew about the proposal and that it had your blessing. I know someone who did this. . .without asking for permission - and even though the bride and groom faked it and pretended like they knew. . . all anyone could talk about was how bad they felt for the B&G and it kind of overshadowed the wedding
i agree..i personally wouldn't want someone else to get engaged during my wedding..i think it would really bother me..im trying really hard to make everything perfect and i would feel really badly if no one noticed due to an engagement..but i too think its really sweet that he asked your blessing!

or you can have him do it before or after the last dance and say something to the guests to the effect of ' i hope you all enjoyed so and so's wedding and are looking forward to another because.....will you marry me etc'

I love the staging the bok toss and garter. You would just have to let all the other girls (and i guess guys) know before hand so theres no cat fights lol.
I wonder if someone could get her out of the room and an announcement could be made, which will also alert the guests that you and the groom knew about it.
Another idea would to have an after party since your wedding ends early and to have him ask her then.

you could try to rig the bo-k and garter toss. when you throw the bo-k have the ladies all back away from the lucky lady, so that she catches it. Maybe you could do something with the guys to make sure he gets the garter. then have him do it while she's in the chair.

I like the idea of you staging it so she catches the bouquet, then right after she catches it, everyone steps aside and her FH comes in and get on one knee.... How romantic!!

The bo-k and garter idea is one of the sweetest things I've ever heard!! You are so sweet to let them do it at your wedding...make sure your photographer knows also and that he gets pics!! I'm sure your sisters face will be PRICELESS!

Its so nice of you to wwant to do this! But are you sure it is the right place for her? Like is she the kind of person who would feel bad about this happening at your wedding or would she not think anything of it? I think a good alternative would be having herr proposed to at the rehearsal dinner instead. If you do go with having it done at the wedding- iI think the idea of setting up the bo-k toss so she catches it is very cute!
I also like the idea someone had about doing it right ebfore the last dance! It may be a good way to end the evening!!!

I agree, as much as this makes you happy, don't forget this is YOUR day, they will still have their day to come, I think it is very sweet though.. also at then end of the night, mostly family only will be left, and there the ones who will appreciate this the most!
