When would you buy your wedding gown?

I purchased my dress already. It will be here in Nov.... No worries of dress envy for me.. I loved my dress since the first day i saw it in 2008 in a magazine....


If you feel like you want to have options and see whats new coming out...save it for 2011 dont buy now...

If I find the one I love, and I know for sure it's the one I love.. I will buy it and stop looking at any other dresses so I don't doubt myself, no matter how far away the wedding is.. Although i'm taking a break from dress shopping now until I get closer to my date because it's just too confusing now lol

Umm aside for the hotel, it was absolutely fabulous!

just happy to be home with FH now<3 I missed him lol

I am going to start looking a year and a half before (which would be this september) for a couple of reasons:

#1. There are end-of-the-summer sales, so I might find a beautiful dress at a bargain price

#2. I won't buy ANYTHING unless I completely LOVE it and I have a feeling that it will take me a long time to find one I LOVE

#3. I have a 2-week vacation coming up at the beginning of September so I hope to start during that time

You guys I have BIG news...... I GOT MY DRESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am not going to give details just in case if there are any lurkers creeping around but I LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!! I went to Paradise Bridal because I saw there was a Casablanca Trunk show going on (FMIL was actually the one to tell me) and being over 2 years away I just wanted to take a look because I figured it will take me at least a year to find THE ONE.... ladies, it was rumpled in a ball and not on the hanger but I immediately saw it and knew it... Stephanie was my consultant and was soooo helpful!!! Highly recommend.... so long story short, my poll vote is less than 1 year :) I am sooooo excited, and btw, there was another girl trying on dresses next to me and she was an Aug 2012 bride!!!


ETA: I realized I put less than a year - I bought it duhhh two years before lol I forgot the poll question I was so excited!!!

I found a dress I am im love with and I am getting it now. I am ordering it from Village Bridal in Babylon where that have free storage in a climate and light controlled room. I know it is early but I know this dress is the one and I don't want to loose it.

I'm a new 2012 bride..just engaged!! I dont even know where to begin my planning process. FH and I just establised a date, no vendors yet ..let alone dresses!!! But to answer my 1st question, I would def start checking out gowns..after all it's your day/my day.. :)

Food was amazing, all inclusive so it was even better to not have to pay at the end of the meal lol


Here are just a few horror stories:
We didnt have air conditioning for two days because a pipe broke and flooded out the whole lobby and first floor [thank goodness I was on the 5th floor]

my grandma found a roach in her room

the pool was very dirty and never saw anyone cleaning it or putting chemicals in it,

housekeeping was horrible! never left us washcloths and then took over 4 hours to bring them up to the room.

So those are just a few. I mean we looked past everything and enjoyed the most out of the vacation while enjoying the amazing beach but still we payed alot of money for this vacation and stuff like this shouldnt of happened.
