Was it because you got the overwhelming itch to have a baby? What I mean is...people say all of a sudden you just feel like you are ready for children. Is that how it happened for you? Or was it carefully thought out and planned timing wise?
A little of both for us. I guess the urge is a little stronger than the planning. Planning wise we should wait 1 more year or so but I want to try now in case we have problems since we aren't getting any younger.
we decided to TTC right after the wedding because I want children early in life. I am 24 and my DH is 25. We also decided to have kids early because my dh and i have been together for 6 years and have been living together for two so we felt we've been together long enough and we both adore kids and want a family of our own. Also my SIL was in a huge car accident 2 years ago and ended up with a TBI ( tramadic brain injury) and i see want my inlaws are going through in there mid 50's and my DH and i decided that if anything like this was to happen to our kid we would like to be young enough to deal with it. We both are itching to have a family and hoping for the best.

We discussed it and we both wanted to have kids fairly quickly because we aren't getting any younger. However, DH's job transferred him to Ireland for 18 months and we wanted to travel around Europe while we had the opportunity. So we planned that we would either be pregnant or the baby would be a few weeks old when we were scheduled to come home. As it turns out, the baby will be about 7 weeks old when we come home.
we felt ready and wanted to start trying....i always wanted a baby before i am 30 and my DH is over 30 already....so bottom line, it just felt right and wanted to start now in case we had problems!
Thanks for the feedback. DH and I know we want to have kids one day, but I guess I am just waiting to see if one day it hits us that we should start trying.
