When you got engaged did you find yourself going to a lot of weddings or wedding related parties

Our wedding is in 2004 and I have 3 weddings I am invited too for that year all within months of each other.

I have a
July 2004 wedding
Mine Sept 2004
Brians friend October 2004 (this guy's wedding Brian is in and this guy is in our wedding)
December 2004

Did this happen to anyone else???

OMG, me too. I have a wedding in July, August and 2 in October (I'm a BM in one of them)

I didnt even know about the one in Dec. My mom just called me now and said guess who called and she is inviting all of us to the wedding.

If any more of my friends get engaged I hope they are planning a 2005 wedding

Oh boy, chippa, busy year, ha.

We only have our wedding this year, and none of our friends are planning anything soon. But a friend of a friend will have a wedding only 6 days after us, in Costa Rica, and we may drop by for an afterparty, since by chance we'll be honeymooning on the same beach where the wedding is.

Yes and its still going on after the wedding. I have 2 weddings coming up in the next few months,a bridal shower,a baby shower and our other friends just got engaged.

I have never been to so many weddings in my life. I don't know how I'm going to afford all of this. LOL!! I also have a Sweet 16 at Jericho Terrace at the end of June

Since 1999 I have been in a wedding every year, except for 2001, but that's when they all had their babies! Last year I was supposed to be in 2 (only 1 happend) and went to about 5 others. I only know of 1 wedding this year but next year I have at least 2 to go to (including my own). Tis the season!

Holy Moly...

2 years ago we had 4 back to back weekends of weddings. That was harsh

Next year is going to be a fun year

after i got engaged in feb 02, 3 of my cousins got engaged. one is this oct,(planned in like 8 months) the other is next nov,(got engaged last month) mine is oct 05, and my other cousin hasn't set a date yet(engaged about a month after me). we have so many to go to.

I think it's our age....it's around this time that all of our friends are getting married also!

I have a wedding this weekend....mine in 2 weeks, a bridal shower right after I get back from my HM, then a wedding in July..and I think one in September.

We had 3 weddings in one month last May!

Not too much... but considering i haven't been to a wedding in two years... i guess it is a lot.

I just had one this past weekend. I found myself noticing and critiquing EVERY little detail. (like do not use DJ live with drums/bongos in the lower room at Jericho Terrace)

And our Best Man is getting married in 6 months (and 6 months before ours). So i'll have showers and bach parties for that wedding.

My cousin got married a couple months ago but i couldn't go.

I think this is the time in our lives where everyone is just getting married...

I've already had 2 weddings, another 1 this month, 1 in July, 1 in October, then MINE in October, then 1 in December.

I already have 2 lined up for next year.

The last wedding I was at was Aug last year. There are no weddings until mine comes along. I am one of the last of my friends to get married and the only one in my family that is getting married.

But I have had invites to babyshowers and birthday parties.
