How long did you give your BMs to get their measurements/order in? I picked my dress out in January and told all my BMs the cost and when we'd order to give them time to get the money together.

I found my wedding gown and bridesmaid dresses back in August. I went with all of my girls to make sure they looked good on everyone.
We are officially going to order them in April. This way if it takes a while to get them, everyone is ready. It also gives PLENTY of time for alterations.

we picked ours Feb 23 and I gave everyone until March 15 (this sat) so like 3 weeks, only b/c the bridal shop said that its getting into peak season, could take some designers longer to get their dresses in. Plus I have 8 girls ordering, I have to be on top of them otherwise they will all forget. I kept bothering them and they are all done except for one girl whos going sat morning. They said I should have the dresses in 5-6 months (but most likely earlier)

you can wait up until maybe 3-4 months before you have to order....the ONLY issue in the negative is that by that time - the new lines will have come out and whichever designer you are using may have decided to discontinue your dress....so just know that!

i asked them in August and with that I included a friendly message that we will start looking in October/November (we decided on a dress in the end of November) luckily it wasn't took much money they were purchased in the first week of December HTH

I found my Jordan dress in July after my first love god discontinued. I gave my girls until mid august to get the $$ in - but they had it in right away...and they were ordered
But my dresses still arent in!!!
The designer as of yest still doesnt have them and I'll find out friday! Lucky me 3 girls live oos - so its going to be a mess...
My mom and FG are by Jordan as well and moms is in and hers will be this friday - and they ordered theirs in November!

well i had the girls go with me to pick them out and luckily the lady told them that they had to have them done by a certain date and most of the girls just ordered them that night
i got really lucky with them ordering there dresses

we found the dress in late july/early august, and they didn't order them til oct!! i was actually pretty pissed about that. one of my BMs did not want to spend the $$ right away, so everyone just kept putting off, esp cause they wanted to order them online (RK bridal had the dress for $162 in store, they found it online for $112, i can't blame them for that!), but i was nervous abou them beign received in time. luckily, they came in the last week of december, and all was good. they wanted to order them, not have me do it, which was fine w/ me, but even DH was like 'when are they going to order their dresses??' yet two of them (and i had 3) waited til 2 weeks before the wedding to get fitted for alterations , but it all worked out in the end.

we finazlied in january together. my moh offered to order them for everyone so she gathered all the info and ordered them for me. she collected all the measurements which only took a few days. while we were looking at dresses, we sort of took rough measurements at the same time so everyone pretty much knew what size they would order.

To order - I gave them like two weeks. I ordered very, very late though.
They'll prob have about two weeks to do alterations too. Everything about the BM dresses are on a time crunch. All my fault.

I told my girls April knowing that would be 6 months. RK Bridal told me it would take 3-4 months giving them plenty of time for alterations.

I had asked them to be in my bridal party back in November (1 year prior to the wedding date). At that time, I showed them the dress I was liking, and the really good price I found it at. Then in December I found the dress in the store, which was willing to price match, and set up a shopping day in January for everyone to try it on. Unfortunately, when we went in January, the store no longer carried the designer. So I spent the next month shopping around for the dress to make sure I got it for the good price I originally found. I finally found it mid-February, and the store told me I had to place the orders no later than March. So I gave them about 3-4 weeks notice for setting up the appts. This coming weekend I'm taking care of getting the last group of girls measured, and then we'll be set!
So to answer the question, they basically knew a price range since November. But for actually picking a final date for when they'd need the money by to get it ordered, it was more like 3-4 weeks.

Once I decided on the one I really liked, I asked the girls when they could come check it out and simulataneously get fitted, I sent them pics so they could see it beforehand too...we all went within the span of a week to get fitted...real easy
