did you still keep looking? I only went dress shopping twice - I loooooooooooved the first dress I tried on but I'm nervous. My sister (who is paying for my dress) is coming to NY next week. Do I go and buy my dress or look some more? I'm so nervous about this. I'm not a decision maker - fh usually decides on everything for me. My stomach is in knots just thinking about making a decision about my dress. Please help.

I didnt keep looking and now i regret it lol...keep looking.
i went to three places. at the first place, i had narrowed it down to two dresses and was pretty sure one was going to be my dress. then i went next door to other place and was like, why am i even looking? but then i found THE dress. my reaction was priceless. and then i freaked out, so then i went to a third place. i went back to the second place a week later, confirmed my initial reaction and ordered. it's almost like when you knew FH was THE one. you'll know when you know.
I found some photos in a magazine I liked -- ripped em out as guidance for the first store I was going to (Wedding Atelier). They happened to have my favorite dress! Tried it on, plus a few others just to be sure while at the store but I knew it was exactly what I was looking for!
to be honest with you, I tried on a few gowns and I thought I had found my dress but was getting a strange feeling that I needed to try on more gowns, so I made an appt. at another place and as soon as I put on my gown I knew that I didnt want to put anything else on. I fell in love with it and new that was going to be my wedding dress. I don't even want to look at other dresses because I don't doubt my decision at all. I guess if you have that feeling you should try some more on and just be sure.
I kept looking and I'm glad I did b/c everytime I went somewhere else I found a dress I loved more than the last.
i only went to two places before buying my gown. The main reason why I did not keep looking is because I noticed that every gown I LOVED looked almost exactly the same!!! I knew no matter what I was getting a halter dress with beading at the bottom and a long train... Everyone agreed that they loved my dress so I decided there was no point to keep looking if I was going to try basically the same dress on over and over!!!! If you are open to different styles I say keep looking but if you know you are giong to wind up getting a dress that is almost exactly the same as the one you love I would say avoid the confusion and buy the one you love! JMO but I hope that helps!!!

I do love the dress I think is the one but I'm not sure if I'm being pushed into it a little by my family who says that its perfect for me and my wedding. Does that make sense?
Chrisssssssssssssssssssss - where are you????????????? You've seen me in that dress and I need help!
i didn't order mine yet, but I am almost positive I found the one. I am still looking around (hey, it's the one time I get to try on dresses!!) but once I order, I will STOP. Because I am indecisive and will start second guessing myself.

When I thought I found the dress the first time, I kept looking and I changed my mind. When I went back the second time for the new dress that I thought was the dress, I had no interest in looking at anything else. That was how I knew.
i knew my dress was the one... and wasnt interested in shopping anymore...
When I found my dress, my mom had insisted that she took a picture for me, I was absolutely against it - I knew the feeling that overcame me when I tried the dress on - absolutely fell in love with it - I am beginning to be skeptical because I dont have any photos of myself in it, it was ivory and i ordered Diamond White, but I will NOT try on anything else until it comes in this December - I am sure I will fall in love with it all over again
I found a dress I liked and continue to try dresses on. But, I always went back to the previous one.
The FIRST dress I tried on (the dress reccomended by the lady at Bridal Reflections!) was the one I ordered. BUT because I wanted to be sure it was really the dress, I tried on all the dresses I asked her to pull for me. Finally I put the dress back on and that was it. Then I tried on the matching cathedral veil and I was SOLD!!! You will know when you find the right dress it will feel different. You won't want to take it off. If you have to go to a bunch of stores then you do!
