...was the umbilical cord by the baby's head? I asked the technician what was on my baby's face and she said it was the cord. It kind of scared me a bit but she said it was ok and that the baby is floating around and constantly moving around.

Re: When you went for any of your sonograms.....
I was hoping to hear that its very common in the second trimester. I did talk to a couple of people who said they had the same thing.

Gianna always had her hand in front of her face! Don't worry, I'm sure everything is fine!!
As for the pressing on your belly -- YUP depending on the technician, some press harder then others! And at the end when I was going for them weekly, they really pressed and it hurt!!!
When are you due again?

My baby always has his or her hand on its head too. But I don't like that the cord is right there. It scares me. I would rather have it by the feet. The technician didn't seem concerned at all though. I am 23 weeks now and due April 20th.

Don't worry!! The cord will move, you still have plenty of time. My problem at that time was my placenta was too low and it needed to move up, which it finally did. That baby is still cooking and moving and having a jolly old time in there!!!

If they were at all worried you would know about it asap Sue. The tech would have had the doctor in there and then all sorts of other imagines would be ordered etc...
