Whenever unhappy with a service or company it pays to write a letter

Original post by WithThisRing

When we were in FL we had a rent a car. The car $ucked. The wind shield wipers didnt work (which in FL is NOT a good thing when it rains), the car wasnt really clean, and the brakes had problems.

When we got home FI wrote a letter to the customer service department via email and they sent him a reply. They are REFUNDING half of our money

We should be receiving our refund check in 2 weeks.

So ladies if you are ever unhappy with a service or prodcut it is definatly worth a few minutes to write a letter to the company.

I hate Charlie Browns. I went there and from the beginning to the end the service was horrible. I should of complained but since it was really my first time going there I knew it was going to be my last.

I agree - depending on the company, most will try and compensate in some way for your loss or unsatisfaction. Worst case, writing the letter helps to lessen your anger just a bit!

I've been very upset with 1 wedding vendor and while I haven't yet posted here I plan to write him a very long letter!!

On a flip side, if you like a product write the company a letter telling them how you really enjoyed their product and ask them to send you free samples or coupons and to put you on their mailing list. They will send you coupons and samples.
