we live together now in an apt on oakdale. we plan to buy after the wedding. we always thought on the island, but lately we've been talking about conn.

We live together in my parents basement .. it's ok for now..we made it pretty cute..but we've been here almost 3yrs now and we can't wait to have someplace with more ROOM!
After the wedding we want to stay in queens, most likely it'll be an apt , but if somehow we win the lotto we're going to get a house! It's important for me to stay close to my mother...I am such a mommys girl!!

We live a town apart....me with my mother and son, FH with his parents. I am hoping he can move in my apartment now when my mother moves out and when my son is done with school we will buy a house out east.

FH and I have a TINY one bedroom on 28th and 3rd. We are planning on moving to Astoria in April, but I really want to stay in Manhattan. I'd love to find somewhere cheaper to live...maybe East Village? I don't know...
i live in the East Village, it is cheap rent because its in the projects...yes i have turned into a project rat lol....i by no means grew up in the projects lol.....but i moved here because i was desperate to get out of my parents house after i had a baby, i was upset at myself enough for even being pregnant living there, and brining my daughter there from the hospital, so when we got offered this apartment i jumped on it!! it isnt as bad as i thought it would be, but FH is from this neighborhood and knows people, i dont know anyone, but its 10-15 minutes from my job, and my daughters school is only 4 blocks away, close to the train, buses, etc....so i actually like the neighrborhood, just not the project part.
I think its great that you guys live somewhere that is a good reasonable price...I don't see anything wrong with living in the projects. I live across from a projects building and I always wish we lived there because their apts. are so much bigger and nicer and cheaper!!!

Yeah its really not that bad, the apartment is big, my daughter has her own room, and its a great size, the kitchen is a bit small but i do have room for a dining room area and a dining room table. hopefully, when we get out of here it will be to buy...i will miss the super cheap rent though

For me, me and FH, and our daughter have a 2 bedroom in Manhattan for dirttttttt cheap rent =) but i eventually want to get out of here..FH told me today hes thinking about buying a house in the Poconos I dont know anything about living in the suburbs im actually used to loud music and people outside my building at 2 in the morning i dont know how well i would do out there, but i guess its a good idea since i LOVE manhattan and living here, but i want to own one day and get out of renting

I live at home in Bellmore with my parents and FH lives in Island Park with his mom.
When it gets closer to the wedding we are doing to look for either an Apt or Condo. He will probally move in first and then slowly ill move my stuff in.

FH used to live in Queens and I lived in Throggs Neck....but now kind of stays over everynight and get mail here so he kinda moved in...after the wedding we want to live in Westchester.

Fh and I live in an apartment together in Bay Shore which is over my parents garage. We moved in together about a year ago when my sister and her husband moved out. Everything was brand new down to the sheet rock when they moved in, so it's a nice place. We pay my parents cheap rent and pay the utilities (since it's an unattached building it has it own heat, hot water, electric, etc). We plan on staying there for a year or 2 after we get married so we can save for a house. Then we'll look in the tri-state area depending on where I can find a well-paying job that I like.

Technically, FH lives with his parents in Bohemia, but they are retired and live in Arizona for 6 months out of the year.
I lived in the West Village and then moved to Forest Hills in May, but broke my lease in September when I got sick and now I'm living rent-free with mom and dad in Farmingdale.
We're looking to stay in Farmingdale and buy a house (I've had it with apartment living). I actually wouldn't mind moving to conn, but Metro North is worse than the LIRR, so we probably won't.
