where are all the dress for us real sized girls

i mean yeah the look beautiful on the models but what about us curvy girls anyone have the same prob as me.

ur too cute...I guess for the dress companies there is no winning.. Some say too big others say too small... u'll find 'the one' Just have to have patience.

Well I am about a 12 and called BR in carles place and they had dresses ffor me to try on! Just got to make it there.

all the dresses that I tried on were a size 10 or 12 as well. I wen to Macy's Bridal in Manhasset.

David's Bridal I heard has sizes. Im a small girl and I get mad that the try on dress is always a 10 or 12 I mean help a sister out here.

tell me about it...i went to a bridal salon and all the sample dresses where a size 10...i couldn't fit into them...the lady helping me felt bad but i told her it wasn't a big deal..just motivation for me to hit the gym a little harder and eat a little less

forgot to mention i'm a size 18-20 in regular clothes

davids bridal has a lot of sizes- maybe you want to try some on from there just to get an idea of what kind of style u like (who knows you might even fall in love with a dress)

in street clothes im a 10-12 (NOW!!! )

There are plus size samples out there, you just have to hunt and find them. As a sz 22 myself, I had gone to about 5 or 6 different dress places and each one only had a few plus size samples. But all in all, I probably tried on 15 dresses. I refused to buy a dress without trying it on. It took some homework, but I was finally able to find the dress of my dreams. Here's a list of stores I went to that had plus size samples:

Paradise Bridal in Patchogue
David's Bridal in Carle Place
Bridal Suite in Bay Shore
Lybrook Bridal
Kleinfeld's in NYC
Lillette's in Baldwin

I ultimately found my dress at Kleinfeld's. But my #2 dress was at Paradise Bridal. Keep looking. Make some phone calls. You will be able to find your dress. good luck! Let us know when you find 'the one'!!!!!!!

Yes! I heard that most dress are 2-6 sizes smaller than street clothing. I hadda squeeze my big you know what into an 8! I am far from an eight! I know at the bridal center I go to, they have largers sizes to try, like 18-22. They're called Fantasia's Bridal Center of Rocky Point!

I know the feeling. I'm an 14/16 in street clothes and they ordered a 20! I went to the Bridal Suite in Huntington and found 'The One' but it took some work. Macy's in Lake Grove wasn't too bad but they were all size 10s.
Bridal Reflections in Massapequa was pretty good too, they were genereally a size 12.

the dresses def. run off street size. i am an 8 in clothes and my dress is a 12. It was the same way with my BM dress for my sisters wedding.

i am a 'curvy large' girl--my dress was ordered in a 22W. so i feel ya. i ordered my dress from bridal suite in bay shore--and i swear to you they treated me fantastic. you just have to go in-realizing that they will have to use clipsand such, and maybe the dress will be open in the back since it can't close...lol but they will make sure to help you, to give you an idea how the dress will look in your size. i was open and honest with them and said 'hey...i'm sensitive and a plus size--hook it up' and they did.

my dress is a Mon Cheri...they have sizes up to 28W. http://www.moncheribridals.com

David's Bridal, Alfred Angelo, Maggie Sottiero, etc. also has many plus sizes
