Can anyone recommend a good DJ? I want to book that soon as well.

We are looking for someone who will play some fun motown but also some of today's fun dance hits like Rihanna, Beyonce, Britney, Pussycat Dolls, Chris Brown, etc and maybe some techno/dance remixes for the last hour. We want there to be A LOT of dancing.

Sorry I cant help...I didnt look into DJs because I Booked a band....but if u look for DJ under the help threads u can find reviews or suggetions

Does anyone have a good place to go for invitations. I was looking at Tessa's and I really liked them except she does flat printing and I don't think it is formal enough, I want a black-tie wedding. Any ideas?

Hi we booked a band too but someone I know booked starlight express-i think thats w hat they're called?! and supposedly they're great- I have to double check that name!
I have an 'invitation lady' she's great- fm me if u want the info.!

Hey...I used a lady who works out of her home and was super affordable...she not the nicest lady to work with as far as personality but her selection and prices cant be beat!!! FM me for her info if u want

Is anyone planning on doing uplighting at the Royalton? Mike suggested it and now that we're looking at DJs, they offer lighting packages. Has anyone used uplighting around the room and has pictures of it? Is anyone planning on using lighting around the room?

has anyone seen the direction cards? I'm starting to look at invitations and I hear the Royalton has nice direction cards and I beleive they come in both white and Ivory.

Just curious what you thought of them if you saw them.

We're doing uplighting. We're doing 12 color-changing LEDs to surround the room, and going back and forth between dark pink/purple and greens. I've seen it done at other places and it's gorgeous. I think it will look especially good since the Royalton ballroom is so white and clean, the colors will accent it nicely. I can recommend our DJ to whoever is looking. It's Michael from Eclipse Entertaiment. He's very nice, professional, etc. He will cater to your needs, whatever you want. If you want a loud energetic MC he can do that, or he can be as minimally invasive as possible haha. He does a lot of high end weddings, so he's used to everything. He did FH's sister's wedding last month, and we were so happy we booked with him. We're getting our uplighting through him. FM me for his details if anyone's interested.
