Sooooooooo, who is a Christmas baker? My mom always made tons and tons of cookies around the holidays and I always looked forward to baking in MY kitchen for the holidays. I started on Friday and already made four different types of cookies: Oatmeal scotchies (oatmeal cookies with butterscotch chips), chocolate chip swirl cookies, vanilla and chocolate pinwheel cookies and today I just finished making these cookies we've always called spritz cookies ( you use this cookie gun to make them).
Any other bakers out there? If so whats on your list for cookies to bake?
Any nonbakers, what's your favorite cookie to eat? I guess I'd have to go with the old classic chocolate chip!

well i always bake and make other desserts...
this year i am making a ton since my last final is this evening...
Im a baker! This is the first year though that fha nd I are doing it together...
Fh and I are making shoofly pie this year for each family member, and as usual we make the italian S cookies, the 7layer cookies, marzapan, sugar, butter, peanut butter kisses, jolly jams and linzer tarts. Were not sure what else OR IF WE'll have any time to even do 1/2 of them, but thats our menu for baking this weekend!

My moms the same way... she makes god knows how many lbs. She has those long tupperware stacked about 6 ft, five rows. Its nuts... we stay away from her at the time haha

Holy crapppp you just described my mother to a T!!! Our tiny *** kitchen turns into a disaster... can abrely move around all the tupperware and every yr she explodes over at least 1 cookie cuz the dough is just way too tough to deal with!!!!

My mother and I just started baking over the weekend. We made strufflers (sp?). Their the honey balls with the sprinkles on them. they took FOREVER to make so we only make them once a year its our tradition. I plan to do a lot more baking this weekend though just haven't decided on what cookies

I just finished making 3 batches of chocolate bark (one vanilla and choc, one choc with PB chips and hazelnuts, and choc with almonds and pecans. Plus a bacth of choc choc chip cookies and crescent rolls with raspberry preserves, cinn, and walnuts. Now I am waiting for my sis to bring my nephew over so we can make sugar cookies. Thats a lot of baking.

Im a total baker!!! Grew up in a house wit my grandma and mom and they start baking way before christmas, my grandma actually baked all my cookies for my E-party!!!! (Shes amazing!!!) Im making the usual chocolate chip, oatmeal, sugar cookies, biscoti, rainbow cookies, pinolis, and if I have time some others....grandma's in florida this year, so Im on my own!!!

huge change of plans, we have done NO baking this year. Way too much going on..hows yours going?
My mom and I baked cookies today. We made snowballs, butter cookies, and an apple pie.

Oh my gosh, I feel like a baking machine! It seems as though my oven hasn't been off yet! I'm going to try to remember all of those I made so far
Cranberry and Pistachio Biscotti Chocolate chunk with walnuts Chocolate Chip White choc/choc swirl chips Oatmeal butterscotch Choc and vanilla pinwheel Spritz Rugelach Sugar Candy cane sugar Peanut butter and choc chip Hershey kiss/mini chip Peanut butter with peanut butter cup Strawberry Jam thumbprints Chocolate espresso
I feel like I've made more but I can't remember... I'm at my mom's now, not at my house.
Tonight I'm making Oatmeal raisin Red and green swirls Chocolate with Hershey's candy kisses
and I think that's it. I must have gone through about 20 boxes of butter already!

for christmas eve this year, i'm def making pineapple upside down cake and white chocolate blackberry cookie squares. i haven't yet decided what i'm making for christmas dinner, which I'M hosting, so i have to figure it out soon.

They're sitting in tins and rubbermaid containers all over my dining room table and chairs. I have to take a picture... it's insanity!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE THAT! I have never baked it I just buy it but I love them so much!

Im terrible. I got my mom to stop baking because iwanted her to relax... and fh and i dragged her and fmil to ikea lol...
they deserve the day but my moms upset she didnt make her cookies yet lolol
