When baking do you use butter or margarine? I was reading in a new cook book that butter isnt good to use, is that true?

It depends on what the recipe calls for. Most recipes I make use butter though.

I often use a butter substitute (not liek it helps at that point but I feel like they're more moist?)

So I love 'i can't believe its not butter!'

I have never used anything but butter but I guess certain recipes call for it.

I use butter, and if it calls for it, even use unsalted.

I generally cook with non-dairy marg, because I generally cook vegan.

That's what I use because DH is lactose intolerant. I find it's just as good. I also try to do other substitutions when i can, but that's mainly in cooking not baking.

When baking I use whatever it calls for in the recipe. You have to be more precise when baking, I don't like substituting. Its usually butter.

Cooking I go through stages.
