WHERE ARE MY RSVPs!!!!!

MY RSVP date was this past weekend and we still have not received back 42 invites which adds us to about 77 guests!!

I am amazed by how RUDE and inconsiderate people can be.

So FH and I have to started making very uncomfortable , annoying phone calls to all these people, and be like “umm yeah are you coming or not to my wedding??”

That's it I have had it........any one that did not RSVP is getting seated together reall close to the DJ!!!!

ETA: Some of the MIA RSVPs are my BP!!!

lol aww i'm so sorry-- yeah people can be really inconsiderate but i do hope that you are able to get in touch with them and they will let you know one way or another!!

and sit them close to the DJ is right!! haha

FH and I still have a lot outstanding also. We have to go to our hall this Saturday

with the finalized plans. Unless you've had a wedding before, you really don't realize how much getting those rsvp's back mean. A few people I called already said they assumed I knew they were coming, so they kept the rsvp card as a souvenir!

My wedding is in about a week! (OMG!) and I was chasing down replies as of last week!!!

It's just amazing - every bride complains about this sort of thing - and it happens to everyone on some level..... people are just... well... you know -

It will get better... we had large numbers outstanding by our RSVP date, too.

Maybe some people like the BP didn't return it b/c they figure you know that their coming. As for the rest of the people..that's just rude..start calling!

We had a lot of that also!!! I had to chase down about 28 invites or 56 people!!! Most of the RSVPs that were late came in about a week to 2 weeks after the RSVP date (and yet people wondered why I mailed them out and made the RSVP date so early??!! THIS is exactly why!!)

My RSVP date was March 11th. My list was not finalized until March 29th!!! And some people NEVER got back to me at all!!! We still have a few people that are debating on whether or not they're bringing dates!!

Future brides, this will happen to you too!! FH was so convinced his side would all send their RSVPs back in a timely manner, and he soon found out how wrong he was!!!

uuggghh...sorry that it worked out this way. I have heard of most people just sitting down and calling all the non-responders. That is just rude not to respond! Weddings are not cheap! Grrrr

Sorry about that! I hope they show up soon. My MOH said she would make the calls for me after my RSVP date if anything. Maybe you can split some of the list up and have a family member or friend make some of the calls.
