I am getting married in June 2003 and my FI and I want to go to Tahiti for our honeymoon. We are also considering Bali, Fiji and the Greek Islands. Does anyone else have any suggestions?

Re: Where are people going for there honeymoon
Another Hawaii Bride...Maui and Kauai. October/November this year!
We also wanted to go to the coast of Spain but the weather would be colder than we liked at that time (60's).

We're going to Disney for 3-4 days, then hopefully flying to the U.S. Virgin Islands for 4-5 days if we can get a cheap airfare, and then going back to Orlando to go to Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure for a couple of days.

The Allegro is an all-inclusive and it's beautiful!! It includes everything -- drinks, water sports, food, nightly entertainment, etc. My friend stayed there a year ago and loved it!
You'll love Aruba -- we went there on our honeymoon in October and we didn't want to come home!!! We stayed at the Marriott. Definitely go to El Gaucho's for steak, but make reservations!!!

Re: Where are people going for there honeymoon
We haven't booked anything yet, but we plan on doing Souther Caribbean cruise. Leaves from San Juan and goes to St. Thomas./St.John, Martinique, Barbados, and Aruba. Thereare other Southern, Caribbean cruises tha go to other islands. Not sure whi one yet. Definately want to go to Aruba.
One thing I like about a cruise is that you get to go to more than one island. They mostly stop a whole day at each island. Also once you step on the ship everything is paid for except excursions and liquor. No bad. Went on a cruise once before and loved it.
we are going to Spain...like Irish...we are going to visit family that cannot make the wedding...then we are going for a week to Menorca a small isalnd btw Spain, France and Italy in the Mediterranean...
Teri and Michele31 recommended an AWESOME travel agent...for 2 weeks...5 star hotels air and everything...under $6000!!
Kristine at Liberty Travel in Levittown...

Re: Where are people going for there honeymoon
My Fiance's first choice was Europe, but then I told him that we are getting married in Aug, that being a busy time, we would end up not relaxing but running around trying to see everything, it would feel like a sigtseeing trip than a Honeymoon. Then he said South Africa. I quickly reminded him that I wanted relaxation.
So were are going to Barbados for 5 days and St. Lucia for 5 days

Planning on Maui, but trying to decide if we should go to another island or not. I am not sure if kaui is going to be too laid back or not as I heard it is a quiet island. Maui is a definete though!

Re: Where are people going for there honeymoon
My FH and I are going on a Carnival cruise to the western carribean (Grand Caymen, Ocho Rios and Cozumel). Another great part about it is that we get to leave from New Orleans!! I've always wanted to go there, so we will spend a couple of nights there first. Good luck!

BEARSBABE_113!
Do you recommend the Marriott in Aruba? My FBIL is getting us his time share but we want to tack on a few days at another hotel but I couldn't decide which one. Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Re: dandj
We went to Sandals in St. Lucia last June (actually that is where we got engaged!!). It was fabulous, you will love it. We only went for 4 days, but it was great. Make sure you check out the farewell dinner on Saturday night (the show was really good) and the Japanese restaurant (hibachi style cooking - very fun). Have a great time!

Re: Where are people going for there honeymoon
We are going to Italy. Our first stop is Sardinia, we will stay at the Leginestre hotel in Porto Cervo- Costa Smeralda. Then we are off to Capri, we are staying at Caesar-Augustus. From there we will go to the Almalfi Coast and stay at Palazzo Sasso in Ravello. Finally we will go visit family in Montescaglioso, while there we will get to experience the St. Rocco feast. We are visiting all resort areas, and will travel back(maybe for our 1st anniversary) to the cities. Can't wait Continued success to all...
