Where are the hot/cold water pipes in houses?
Re: Where are the hot/cold water pipes in houses?
They are both inside in my house. Where is your water meter? they would be AFTER the water meter. Our hot one passes through the oil burner/water heater.

Water pipes are never outside - not even the cold water. They could freeze and burst - so definitely inside, usually in the basement if you have one.

Karissa in the Levit houses your water meter is in the front of your house. Ours is small in the grass going up our sidewalk. You can't even see it if you didn't look for it and know it was there. Your hot water pipe should be by your oil burner under the stairs (unless yours was moved).

My water meter is in my basement so Iguess that makes it easier for me to find mine. Do you have a basement?

My water meter is outside, but my water pipes are in my basement. If your water meter is in your basement, hoow often does the water district come inside your house to read your meter??
